About Me

Hey there, fellow book lover! I’m Gabriella—though you can call me G—a passionate bibliophile proudly nestled in the sun-kissed landscapes of Arizona. While I’m frequently enchanted by swoon-worthy love stories and the enchanting realms of the fantasy world, I thrive on a diverse tapestry of genres—from contemporary fiction and gripping mysteries to the occasional thrilling ride or hidden gem. If it weaves a captivating tale, count me in!

I haven’t always been a reader. For a long time, books seemed more like a daunting chore than a delightful escape. I would cringe in school whenever teachers assigned us books for class, dreading the forced readings. My dad would require my siblings and me to read the dictionary whenever we stumbled upon an unfamiliar word, a practice I absolutely detested. It wasn’t until I became a freshman in high school that my perception shifted, and I truly fell in love with literature. I can still recall that pivotal moment as if it were yesterday…

I went to work with my mom one day and found myself chatting with the receptionist at her office about school and my growing frustration over a particular book I had to read for class. Curious, she asked if I enjoyed reading, and I admitted that I sometimes did, especially if the story was captivating, but I had never been one to pick up a book on my own. To my surprise, she enthusiastically suggested a book series that she thought would be perfect for me. The following day, she brought the first book of the House of Night series, Marked, by Kristen Cast and P.C. Cast, to work and asked my mom to pass it along to me. Initially, I was skeptical (vampires? really?), yet once I began reading, I was utterly captivated! I devoured the entire series and eagerly shared my obsession with everyone I knew. Engaging in conversations about reading revealed that many of my classmates shared my newfound passion, and they began to recommend their favorite books to me. The next series that captured my heart was The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. To this day, it and The Infernal Devices, also by Cassandra Clare, remain my all-time favorites. I’ve read them at least six times over the years, and I could easily read them again and again without ever growing weary of their enchanting worlds. It only took one person to help me discover that reading doesn’t have to be a chore; one person to show me that reading can be an exhilarating experience and a delightful escape. Now, I truly cannot imagine my life without the joy, comfort, and inspiration that books provide.

More Pages More Life is my digital sanctuary where I can share my reading journey and share it with others who’ve also found magic between the pages (or are just starting to!). This blog was born out of my belief that every page turned adds something beautiful to our lives – whether it’s a fresh perspective, a new fictional crush, or simply a much-needed escape.

Whether you’re here for your next read or just to geek out over fictional worlds with someone who gets it, I’m so glad you stopped by!

Let’s keep flipping those pages – because more stories mean more life.
